Important decisions in comPlan’s Foundation Council
Like other pension funds, comPlan too is now facing the challenge of balancing the varying interests of all policyholders. Active policyholders aim to enjoy an attractive interest rate for their retirement savings account, while pensioners prefer pension increases or additional pension payments. In the past financial year, comPlan’s Foundation Council made important decisions to meet these challenges in a proactive manner while meeting the interests of both active policyholders and pensioners at the same time.
For example, comPlan’s Foundation Council decided to set the annual interest rate of the individual retirement savings of active policyholders based on a new grid. This takes into account both the coverage ratio and performance to make a positive contribution to retirement provision.
Furthermore, the Foundation Council adopted a restructuring grid, which will be used as needed. With additional clarifications and in consideration of all current circumstances, this serves to enable prompt decision-making in the meetings of the Foundation Council.
Finally, a working group dealing with the issue of any pension increases or additional pension payments for pensioners was set up.
